About the event
The Upper Valley Teaching Place Collaborative’s Community of Practice (CoP) brings together professional development providers from organizations that support place-based education across Vermont and New Hampshire. Members meet throughout the year to learn together, collaborate, and provide leadership within the UVTPC network.
The CoP strengthens connections, addresses shared challenges, and sparks collaborations that advance place-based ecology education (PBEE) in the Upper Valley.
On April 28, CoP members will gather at the Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS) for a memorable day of connection, learning, and inspiration.
Behind the Scenes with VINS Avian Ambassadors
Participants will enjoy a special behind-the-scenes training session with VINS’ avian ambassadors, offering a unique look at how educators and animal care staff work with these remarkable birds. This session will explore how VINS integrates animal ambassadors into educational programming and how these experiences help foster deeper connections between people and the natural world.
