UVTPC Place-Based Ecology Education (PBEE) Provider Shelburne Farms is now accepting registrations and applications for its highly regarded summer and yearlong professional learning programs—and one important deadline is coming up fast.
📌 Applications for the Northeast Farm to School Institute (2026–27) are due February 9.
Shelburne Farms’ summer institutes draw educators from across the Northeast and beyond, and for good reason. Set on a stunning working farm along Lake Champlain, these programs combine top-notch professional development, meaningful peer connection, and deep immersion in place-based, sustainability-focused learning. Many participants travel significant distances to attend—and consistently say the experience is well worth the journey.

Northeast Farm to School Institute (2026–27)
Kickoff: June 23–25

A cohort-based experience supporting whole-school approaches to farm-to-school education and systems change.
July 6–10
An in-depth exploration of sustainability principles and practices for educators in a wide range of settings.
July 13–17
Designed for early childhood educators, this immersive week centers joy, curiosity, and nature-based learning.
July 21–23
A shorter, intensive option for educators looking to integrate sustainability into their work.
Kickoff: July 27–29
Supports educators and leaders seeking to expand their impact and lead change.
A Watershed for Every Classroom (2026–27)
Kickoff: August 3–6

Climate Resiliency Fellowship (2026–27)
Kickoff: August 11–13
Builds educator capacity around climate education and community resilience.
